DEEP URBAN BREAKS (Event Over)

Are there still tickets being given out??? Mamma needs to get her party on and FREE would be the way to go! I have no comment on why i should get them beside I really want to go and I'm broke...Ha!

yo * I run a not for profit and production company in San Francisco called Cyphertown. All our events benefit social and environmental justice causes. Our most recent project is benefiting a youth arts center doing gang prevention work in the mission.

It's good to be moving towards supporting myself with the project, but I'm not there yet. It's a full time job and it doesn't pay like one yet... but it's SOOO worth it!

My good friends, the Goddess Alchemy Project, Aima, and Apostle are playing down there, and I just decided to drive my car to support them, and to treat myself after working really hard on the project. I'm cutting it really close on expenses since most of the money raised with Cyphertown goes to the cause, not paying me.

Events like this inspire and give me energy to continue being of service. I will definately carry the energy forward.

i got laid off 3 weeks ago and my dumb ass got into a horrific surf accident 2 weeks ago (i'll send you a pic that'll blow ur mind) and i'm moving back home w/my folks for a month before i leave to travel the world (probably not coming back to cali).

hip hop is my culture and i'd like to experience killa kali hip hop one last time before i bounce! i also have a hip hop music newsletter that i've been running for over a year just to spread awareness of what's real, tried and true.

if anything, i think exposing myself in that first paragraph ain't going to win over any ladies.

i am in dire need of a real hip hop function. is the same event as last year's at the 100 year old church? do real undergrounds even circulate anymore in la? i'm not talking about rootdown or firecracker or anything...i mean places where you can go and get a drink, sneak outside for a toke, and lay in the cut with some classic, 90s underground hip hop. not breakbeats or funk or any of that shit. i mean back in the day, unity, bloed, dolo lounge, dragonfly type shit?

i think i deserve the pair of VIP Tickets because i've managed to turn my life around in all aspects in 2007. got a great job, moved back to los angeles after moving to chicago to deal with "problems," and have finally gotten around to going back to school. getting a pair of VIP tickets would be a great way to start the next year off, and great reward for working so hard to make this year such a resounding success.

also, the less money i spend on tickets, the more i spend at the bar! think profits yo!
