The price may have gone up a bit, but when it comes to second-run theaters the Fairfax Regency can't be beat. Buy a hot dog while you're at it, ya cheapskate.

We all know catching a movie is a bit expensive these days. If you are not big on ambience or running to the nearest theatre when "a must see film" comes out, then $3.50 matinees at Fairfax Cinema should be your regular hangout spot. The admission price is so cheap because they nab blockbuster (or not so blockbusterish) movies a month or two after its theatre release. Even the snacks are a deal! While watching your $3 film, chow down on a $1 hotdog.
