Editors' Take

Vintage vinyl, kitschy jewelry, handmade soap: the Melrose flea market has it all, with all sales benefiting nearby Fairfax High.

Dubbed as a flea market “for the hip and groovy crowd,” by Los Angeles Times and the “#1 hottest scene,” by the Los Angeles Magazine, The Melrose Trading Post is the best place to find bargains on nifty clothing, jewelry, music and more. Every Sunday the “groovy” people swarm to the booths of local business owners who have been serving their public for five years strong. The coolest aspect of this event, besides the awesome bargins, is that a portion of the vendor’s earnings supports extracurricular activities for Fairfax High School students.

I love this flea market. Good selection of quality antiques and home goods although a bit pricey. Haggle, haggle, haggle. An easy option for a sunny Sunday to get my antiques fix for the week.
