It's called "Festival of the People," and this spectacle of art, music and Dia de los Muertos traditions takes it to the streets!
This started out as a street festival for local artists and musicians to preserve the traditions of Día de los Muertos, The Day of the Dead.
If you have not been to a Day of the Dead festival, you have got to go. It is all about spectacle, music, fun, food and celebration. It's a lot like a huge carnivale. There's also a lot of beautiful and inspiring art! Live music performances, theater. Everything!
If you live in Los Angeles and you've never been to a Dia de los Muertos celebration, you are truly missing out.
Best of all this event is free!
