Twilighty feat work of Paul Nagel at Hibbleton (Event Over)
Hibbleton Presents: Twilighty featuring artwork by Paul Nagel
Hibbleton Gallery is pleased to present its latest art
opening, 'Twilighty,' featurig artwork by Paul Nagel. The
opening will be July 25 from 7-11pm. This event is free and
open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Nagel has shown his art at Go Rilla! gallery in Santa Ana, La
Luz de Jesus gallery in Los Feliz, AAA Electra99 Co-op Art Museum
and Gallery in Anaheim, and Orange Coast College. His work
his also appeared in California Pop magazine.
According to Nagel, 'Scenes from the Southern California
environment, global events, my past, my dreams, nightmares, and
fantasies fill my work.' Nagel's work is an intriguing
mixture of realism and fantasy. The subjects of his oil
paintings range from California city scenes to bicycles to mythic
warriors.
'The Los Angeles basin and broader world are intensely beautiful
and incredibly terrible,' Nagel says. Trough his art, Nagel
attempts to understand this beautiful and terrible world.
'My art is for me a method of grasping my feelings...of holding
onto the beauty that I wish to preserve,' Nagel says.
The show runs through August 3. Hibbleton Gallery is located
