KeiStar Productions has successfully produced this event since 1999 starting in its
hometown of New York City. From then on KeiStar Productions has
traveled nationally and internationally with WONDER-Full™ to
Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, London, Japan, and
Amsterdam.
Also featuring DJ Valida, one of LA's most talented
mixers.
Making its third trip to LA , Wonder-Full has united Angelenos and
travelers alike, lending to one of the most energetic events this
city has ever experienced. Attendees ranged from Prince to
Jude Law, along with LA's top taste makers and music fans, for a
crowd of 1,200 smiling faces.
DJ Spinna (NYC)
DJ Spinna is something of an anomaly in music. A humbling example
of what it takes to truly succeed within the framework of multiple
fields. A steadfast work ethic, an obsessively extensive vinyl
library and the willingness to pursue the full extents of his roots
(Funk, Soul and Jazz), foundation (Hip-Hop) and future
(Electronic/Dance music) with no restraints.
Regarded as one of the most versatile and talented
producers/remixers/DJs in today's musical arena. he has produced
numerous tracks and remixes for notable artists such as Michael
Jackson, De La Soul, Mary J. Blige, Mos Def, Eminem, George Michael
& Stevie Wonder.
Bobbito AKA Kool Bob Love (NYC)
The toughest question anyone can ask Bobbito Garcia is "What do you
do?" There might be ten answers! He is the Editor In Chief of
Bounce: From the Playground b-ball magazine, an accomplished Vibe
magazine columnist, author of "Where'd You Get Those? NYC's Sneaker
Culture 1960-1987." He is a world-class club DJ. And one half
of the WKCR 89.9 Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show, voted the
'Best Hip Hop Radio Show of All-Time' by The Source Magazine.
He is a basketball performer at NBA halftime shows. He is the
anouncer for EA Sports' "NBA Street" video game and for ESPN 2's
"It's the Shoes" series. Not done yet... He is a feature film actor
and music consultant... A true modern day renaissance man.
DJ VALIDA(LA)
“There is only one thing worse than someone who doesn’t
like to get down,” she said. “Someone who only likes to
get down to one type of music!” Now dubbed by LA.com as
“one of the most important figures in L.A.’s nightlife
scene,” Valida’s steady rise comes from her uncanny
ability to seamlessly blend a variety of music styles that include
house, hip-hop,
indie rock, b-more/electro, and some classic 80s, disco and pop tracks thrown
in for good measure. Since purchasing her first set of turntables
in 1998, Valida has straddled the music and modeling arena with
skills and ease. Worldwide bookings have brought her musical
eloquence to
Winter Music Conference in
Miami, Mystique in
Kuala Lumpur, Budoir in Dubai, Nuphoria event in
Tokyo, Candela Party in
Puerto Rico, Organic Party in
Mexico, Barbados and her native Bosnia.
In 2003, she was featured on
Los Angeles’ own 89.9 KCRW as part of
Chocolate City’s
Unsung Heroes program hosted by Garth Trinidad.
THE PROMOTER:
For the last 15 years
Footlong Development has been producing and promoting events throughout Los
Angeles. Most recently, the Wonder-Full and Soul Slam
parties. These yearly sold out events have been a major part
of LA's soul revival.
LIVE SCREENPRINTING:
HIT+RUN was created in 2005 by Southern California artists Brandy Flower
and Mike Crivello. A product of the contagious enthusiasm they had
seen from small silkscreening parties in their homes,
HIT+RUN’s live T-shirt screenprinting events quickly grew,
now hosted at music festivals and a variety of happenings around
the world. At each HIT+RUN event, Flower and Crivello act as
curators, selecting from their network of artists to compile a
collection of exclusive single-color silkscreen designs. Guests
personally select their own combination and placement of the
designs, each graphic solely available during the single night
exhibitions. Party goers interact in the screenprinting process
on-site with the HIT+RUN CREW to create one-of-a-kind pieces of
wearable art.
