Descarga! (Event Over)

Descarga! is a monthly Afro-Latin music gathering for the people. This event is an alternative to the commercial salsa nights that have dominated the L.A. scene for years and pays homage to the African-Latino-Indigenous connection, through classic and urban world beats. When the alternative salsa night began with DJ’s Dusk, Sloe Poke and Loslito in 2003, ¡Descarga! was about digging in the crates for the rarest salsa cuts and the funkiest Latin 60’s and 70’s sounds, in a club that would cater to Los Angeles’ multicultural hip hop, funk, soul and Latin underground music scene. Today, ¡Descarga! is a unique soulful, Latin club experience with rotating Resident DJs, live Painters and bands at nearly every show. ¡Descarga! is Executive Produced by Jennifer Cuevas and Loslito, in loving memory of DJ Dusk
