 “Incarnations of Matahari”

 

9pm on Saturday November 21st at "Home",

 an event of exotic entertainment and mixology unfolds…

 

"Incarnations of Mata Hari” will be a night of extraordinary female performers, carrying the torch of Matahari, artists of mystery, intrigue & passion...

 

The Music will be presented acoustically, featuring piano, accordion, clarinet, cello, banjo etc. International Surrealism, French/German Cabaret, and American Gothic, a celebration of feminine extravagance and decadence.

 

The setting, a 1940’s style bar/restaurant, “ Home

2500 Riverside Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90039

 

10% of all proceeds from the night’s events will be donated to “ Code Pink ” a women’s anti-war group ,

with offices worldwide.

 

Mata Hari Absinthe” debuts at “Home” in its myriad recipes, from the “Green Tear” to the “Spy Who Loved Me” expertly executed by the staff at “Home”.   Cocktail specials featured throughout the night.

 

The evening begins with a poetic reading on the amazing life story of “Mata Hari” read by acclaimed Latina poetess, “ Carmen Vega

Accompanying her story is world-renowned belly dancer, "Jenna".

 

Matahari Music artist, “ Juliet Annerino”, performs with some of the musicians who appear on her new record, “Scenes from a Life on Fire”.   Recently returning from her Middle East tour, her style of

 nu-jazz/lounge/neo-soul has been heard

from Paris to Amsterdam, New York to Cairo.

 

In keeping with the night’s theme of “Incarnations of Matahari”, two other popular female-fronted musical acts perform. Like a vision from a fairytale, the wistful and thought- provoking “ Silver Phial” plays “witch music for elves”, casting a 60’s style lounge, acoustic spell.

 

Soulful award-winning singer-pianist, “ Amy Clarke” performs dramatic & imaginative solo alt-pop music with compelling lyrics & unusual depth, reflecting the diverse classical, pop, rock, alternative, electronic & world influences in

her enchanting song craft.

 

New works in acrylic by local fine artist, " Helena Rose" will also be featured at "Home".

 

The night's festivities are MC'd by Hollywood's own mistress of comedy & improv, the multi-talented, accordion-wielding

" Tammy Tomahawk ".

 

Tickets for admission to “Incarnations of Matahari” are just $5 for advance purchase here on line at: www.IncarnationsOfMatahari.com or $10 at the door. (Once you buy yoru tickets on onine, your name will be automaticaly added to our guest list. )

 

The first 25 guests to buy tickets will receive a free copy of Juliet Annerino’s new record, “Scenes from a Life on Fire”.

 

Raffle tickets will be for sale at $1 each for a chance to win some very special prizes, including T-shirts, books, accesories and butterfly kisses!
